The Carson City School District (CCSD) is asking learners and families to attend the free Multilingual Learner Expo Saturday, September 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the High Tech Center at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road. The community-wide event will feature special guest speaker, Ms. Juliana Urtubey, 2021 National Teacher of the Year, featured in People Magazine.
Ms. Urtubey will share her efforts in advocating for a ‘Joyous and Just’ education for all. Come connect with school and community resources aimed at celebrating Multilingual Learners and families. Childcare will be provided.

The event is sponsored by the Carson City School District’s Multilingual Learner Vision Team in partnership with the Carson City Library, Partnership Carson City, Carson City Health and Human Services, Centro Market, Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada and United Federal Credit Union.
